CFPA Europe has got a new member, the Korean Fire Protection Association
(KFPA) in South Korea (the Republic of Korea). They are our second non-European member, which is a new membership category since late autumn 2021.
The KFPA is a non-profit risk management service organisation and they were established in 1973. They have a big focus on preventing loss of life and property from fires, and when a fire breaks out in buildings, to make a speedy recovery from the disaster. They are mainly working with, what they call “special buildings”, which is schools, apartment buildings, manufacturing facilities, buildings of 11 stories or higher, movie theaters, etc. KFPA make also activities for the public, for
example:
– fire prevention events for children
– fire safety volunteer award for fire fighters, and
– risk management seminars.
