On June 4, Cepreven has organized a seminar dedicated to “PREVENTION AND PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE IN PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATIONS”. This event is of vital importance for professionals in the Fire Safety sector and insurance.
During the seminar, were addressed the best practices and recommendations for fire prevention in photovoltaic installations. Renowned experts in the sector have shared their knowledge and experience, addressing essential topics to guarantee the security and efficiency of these systems.
At the seminar, a series of technical presentations which have covered everything from the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems to the detection and extinguishing of fires on roofs with solar panels. In addition, case studies and recent studies were explored in order to highlight the main pathologies and solutions in this field, offering a complete framework for damage prevention.
One of the most impactful presentations presented the European CFPA Guide Photovoltaic systems: Recommendations on loss prevention,
This guideline should give guidance for the proper design, installation, operation and maintenance so that safe operation of photovoltaic systems can be assured. The guideline covers grid connected photovoltaic systems installed on buildings. It provides information on loss prevention with respect to fire protection, firefighting, mechanical, electrical and security aspects.
