FPA announces new head office and training facility

The FPA will be moving to its new premises in Oxfordshire in January 2026

After 21 years at the Fire Service College, the Fire Protection Association can now reveal it will be moving its training and office operations to premises in north Oxfordshire in the new year.

The facilities at Pembroke House near Banbury will be the site of the new FPA Training and Education Centre where the FPA’s courses will be presented to delegates, with significant investment being put in to create modern training facilities that meet their needs.

Doubling our current classroom provision due to demand, our four newly resourced teaching classrooms will enable delivery of our portfolio of courses, our 2026 new offerings, and will also provide attractive and modern facilities for organisations who would like bespoke training, designed and delivered by FPA professionals.

In addition, we are excited to share there will also be a brand-new practical training suite, developed in conjunction with industry partners, to provide learners with an immersive training environment including real-life simulations and break-out content that will enhance learners’ experience.

Equal access and equal treatment is at the heart of the FPA training ethos. The new facility has a specific space designed for trainers to support learners in 1:1 sessions; it will also allow for the support of assessment methods which are appropriate to meet the needs of individual learners, providing equal access to fair assessment.

This facility will provide our learners with a range of experiences and support resources for their learning, empowering them to achieve their chosen pathways in the fire safety industry.

Speaking about the upcoming move, Dr Gavin Dunn, chief executive of the FPA said: “Alongside our growing state-of-the-art laboratory at Blockley, Gloucestershire, the new Training and Education Centre at Banbury will allow us to continue to offer our high-quality services in modern surroundings.

This move demonstrates the FPA’s commitment to supporting the advancement of fire safety across the UK market, and we look forward to welcoming training delegates to our new premises in January.”
