DESCRIPTION:ISES 2025 will be held in Levi\, Lapland\, Finland\, in March 12–13\, 2025. The program featuring presenters from around the world is now published!\n\n>> See the program \n\n\nThe 8th International Safety Education Seminar (ISES) is for all fire safety and public safety professionals all over the world. We get together to innovate\, to create and to share ideas to increase the level of safety awareness and education. \n\n\nISES serves as a platform for people interested in fire safety and public safety. This includes researchers\, fire safety and communication experts\, students\, decision makers and organisations utilizing information and research results. \n\n\nNOTE! We have extended the Early Bird registration period till Nov 17\, 2024. \n\n\n>> Register now! \n\n\nTHE PROGRAM \n\n\nThe ISES 2025 program contains interesting presentations\, a workshop and outdoor demonstrations in the field of fire safety and public safety. \n\n\nFor instance\, you can learn about fire safety education\, child and adolescent and vulnerable groups’ safety\, innovations and technology for better fire safety\, as well as safe communities and human actions in natural hazards. And once in Lapland\, you will get to know about snow safety and to try avalanche rescue techniques. \n\n\nThe keynote speakers in ISES 2025 will talk about extreme or unknown nature conditions that people should be prepared for. We will have an award-winning science writer\, global strategist and Anthropocene researcher Gaia Vince talking about the Nomad Century – the migration due to the climate change. And Sanna Kärkkäinen\, a Tourism Professional with strong business and marketing skills whose heart beats for Arctic nature and tourist safety. \n\n\n>> Read more about the speakers and register now! \n\n\nEUROPEAN FIRE SAFETY AWARD 2025 \n\n\nThe biennial European Fire Safety Award will also be awarded for the fourth time at ISES 2025. Previous winners of the award came from Denmark\, Ireland and Italy. \n\n\nThe European Fire Safety Award is a joint initiative of the European Fire Safety Alliance (EuroFSA) and the Federation of European Fire Officers (FEU). It is aimed at rewarding the best community fire safety projects focused on: raising fire safety awareness\, changing people’s behavior and inspiring education on fire safety. \n\n\nThe closing date for submission of a project application for the European Fire Safety Award is Jan 15\, 2025. The top three shortlisted projects will be invited to ISES 2025 and one representative from each project will be able to attend ISES 2025 free of charge. The winning project will be announced on Day 2 of ISES 2025. \n\n\nTo find out more how to enter\, please click the link below: \n\n\n>> See the regulations and submit!  \n\n\nTHE TICKETS \n\n\nA two-day ticket costs only €375 until Nov 17\, 2024. After that\, the price is €425. If you wish to have the invoice during 2024\, please mention it in the register form. \n\n\nThe ticket includes the whole 2-day seminar program\, lunches\, dinner and the Get Together event in the evening of the day of arrival\, Mar 11. \n\n\nThe last day for registration is Feb 9\, 2025. Please note that the prices for flight tickets and accommodation increase and can even be partly sold out the closer we get to the event date.
